By special arrangement we are very privileged to be able to offer our students the opportunity to study abroad at Hurtwood House in the United Kingdom.
Hurtwood House is a very reputable public school set on a beautiful country estate in the Surrey Hills of England. The school offers both a Summer Holiday English Language Course and also a Fulltime Boarding School programme.
The Hurtwood House Summer Holiday English Language Course
This course, which runs every July, has three main objectives:
- That all students should be completely safe and well looked after
- That students receive structured and lively English language lessons
- That students have the best holiday of their lives, full of interest and fun!
The course is available to 11-17 year olds.
It is a fully inclusive residential programme, including full board, accommodation, tuition, sports, excursions and activities. The school is also able to arrange transportation to and from Heathrow Airport (at additional cost).
Hurtwood House language teachers use exciting drama techniques to ensure that children are actively involved in the lessons. The maximum class size for language lessons is 12 students. Other activities included in the course are games, competitions, excursions, theatre, dance classes and sports such as football, tennis, horse riding, golf, basketball, volleyball, kayaking, windsurfing, sailing, swimming, ten-pin bowling, motor go-karting and skating.
As part of the programme there are daily excursions to shopping centres, amusement parks, local places of interest such as Brighton Beach & Windsor Castle and even a cruise down the Thames River. Every Friday afternoon there is a trip to London for shopping and a visit to the Natural History Museum or the London Eye, followed by an early dinner and then a West End Musical such as the Lion King or Mama Mia or the latest Hollywood film.
Full Time Boarding School Programme
Hurtwood House also offers a full Sixth Form College programme, providing students with an invaluable bridge between school and university. With excellent academic results students are able to gain entrance to England’s major universities. The school can accommodate up to 290 boarding students.
